Exodus Entertainment Bancorp Presents the film “LU” Based upon a true story…
Kevin D. Kinsey Executive Producer and Exodus Entertainment Bancorp will Present the film ” LU” directed by Korstiaan Vandiver of Blue Angel Entertainment Productions. This year’s 168 theme is “Atonement: Winning the Other Side”. Interestingly enough, a story written in the The New Yorker titled “Atonement” about a Marine, Lu, who was diagnosed with PTSD or “Moral Injury” who years later sets out to find the family caught in the crossfire during a firefight in Iraq. A woman was wounded and her father & brothers were killed; they are the Karchadoorian family. He would later find the serving Karchadoorians and they would eventually reunite and Lu would ask their forgiveness. Wow! What a powerful story Vandiver thought so…
Producer Korstiaan Vandiver sought out Lu and found him then after a few conversations and paperwork he granted me his life rights specifically for the 168 Film Festival and the opportunity to bring awareness to the horrible remnants of war left not only in his life but others as well. The story link is below. Also because my very own father has suffered with Moral Injury from his tour in Vietnam this subject is very, very dear to me.
Principal production is set to start May 24th 2013 and when the film is finished as has set theatrical distribution, portions of the profits of the feature film to benefit soldiers affected by PTSD as well as civilian families who have lost loved ones during war. (See the Wounded Warrior Project & Finding the Karchadoorians organizations links below). The producers of the film have passion is to make films that will uplift and transform people lives by making stories that present true faith against any and all adversity.
